VENUE/PROPERTY INFO

Located at PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, this role offers the opportunity to work in a professional sports and events venue. PNC Field is a 10,000-seat professional baseball stadium featuring a full-size ballpark, multiple concession areas, premium seating, suites, and event spaces. The venue hosts not only baseball games but is proud to host a range of other events throughout the year.

THE ROLE

Serve as a key member of the game-day operations team at PNC Field by supporting concession stands through timely restocking and delivery of food, beverages, and supplies pre and during RailRiders events. This role focuses on maintaining smooth concession operations in a fast-paced, high-volume sports environment by assisting concessions staff, ensuring stands remain fully stocked, and helping deliver an efficient and positive experience for all fans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Support concessions stand operations by delivering food, beverages, and supplies throughout RailRiders games and events
• Restock inventory including drinks. Snacks, condiments, paper goods, utensils, and ice during peak service times.
• Assist cashiers, cooks, and supervisors to ensure efficient and continuous concession service.
• Monitor supply levels and communicate shortages and needs to Concession Supervisors or Warehouse Supervisors promptly.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe back-of-house and storage areas.
• Assist with pre-event setup in concession areas.
• Remove trash and help maintain cleanliness in concession and storage areas.

EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in food service, concessions, or customer service is a plus.
• Experience working in live entertainment, sports, or hospitality settings is an asset.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong customer service orientation with a cheerful outlook.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and adaptable in fast-paced, dynamic, or stressful situations.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail when stocking, delivering, and rotating products.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
• Flexibility to adjust to last-minute changes and operational needs.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, sun exposure, and other outdoor conditions.

• Ability to stand for long periods and work in loud, crowded environments for an extended period of time throughout the duration of the assigned shift.

• Ability to perform repetitive motions, including carrying, stocking, and delivering products, during peak service periods.
• Ability to move efficiently and safely through crowded public and back-of-house areas.
• Ability to work in carrying environmental conditions, including heat, sun exposure, and other outdoor conditions.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
