Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Computer Systems Analyst to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals supporting the Sentinel Program. This position will be located in Roy, Utah.
What you’ll get to do:
Provide day-to-day network maintenance to include installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of switched networks and network equipment
Research, design and implement security solutions for network infrastructure
Assist in designing, pricing and implementation of network systems.
Assist in engineering network solutions for new & existing systems.
Provide networking equipment inventory management and documentation
Document network information including all switching and routing equipment, connected IP-addressable devices and cabling interconnects
Participate in project planning
Track and report identified information system vulnerabilities
Monitor, review, analyze, tune, and make recommendations to optimize network
Manage, configure, and install firewall security appliances
Assist in the creation of test plans and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must be able to be successfully screened for Special Program Access (SAP) , within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 2 years of experience; or 0 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background working with Cisco IOS and IOSXE switches and routers
Experience with Unix, Linux and Windows environments and processes.
Experience with troubleshooting, deploying, configuration and management of hardware to include routers, switches, firewalls
Knowledge Working with Network Protocols, LANS, VLANs, OSPF, STP, LACP and GRE.
Must have the ability to acquire a minimum of a IAT Level II (DoD 8570.1M; such as, Security+) certification within 3 months
