Job Summary: About the Position: This position falls under the Defense Health Agency-Atlantic Network at the 633RD Medical Group, providing support in the administration of Medical Treatment Facility computer systems, hardware and software and peripheral equipment under the Directorate of Resource Management, Medical Information Systems. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Major Duties:

  • Establish and manage user accounts, to include determining and maintaining user privilege levels.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, Wide Area Network and Local Area Network problems where applicable, and coordinate with other agencies to ensure timely resolution.
  • Record and report Information Technology incidents as they occur to effectively track outages and types of interruptions to service and to build a knowledge base for future problem resolution.
  • Provide input to the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Continuity of Operation Plan (COOP) procedures for system disaster recovery (COOP recovery includes reestablishment of multiple systems).
  • Provide information management services, to include data analysis, to determine trends in use or performance that could lead to future problems.
  • Research, evaluate, and provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements for the Medical Treatment Facility.
  • Participate in planning, monitoring, testing, maintaining, and operating multiple client systems-based platforms to maintain risk management, accreditation, and certification package.
  • Make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Ensure enhancements are compatible with existing infrastructure and coordinate with other agencies to ensure compliance standards are met.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes, 1) Providing guidance on system changes; 2) Troubleshooting hardware and/or software problems with the network, and 3) Maintaining network systems to ensure operational standards are met, providing technical assistance regarding network to minimize disruptions.
