We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

We are seeking a successful Component Analyst to perform any combination of the following tasks in support of the evaluation and disposition of various electronic and mechanical components used in the production of electronics assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, cable/harness assemblies, electronics rack-mount systems/chassis, circuit card assemblies, and other similar-complexity assemblies. The tasks involve supporting the material handling processes associated with incoming material bound for warehousing and production including providing primary support for Suspended Material (discrepant material) requiring technical dispositioning to support program and production needs. This candidate will also support the Package and Handling processes and characteristics which dictate the manner in which material is managed and handled from receipt to final assembly including, for example, the handling of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Moisture (MSL) sensitive electronic components, mechanical components with Shelf-Life requirements and the packaging requirements (tape & reel, tubes, special packaging for mechanical items, etc.) for many types of components.

What You Will Do

  • Researching and understanding drawings/specifications and manufacturer datasheets for proper packaging and handling characteristics and codifying these characteristics for handling down the line

  • Capturing, documenting and segregating discrepant material

  • Coordinating with program personnel for dispositioning of material (RMA, UAI, submit for further testing)

  • Coordinating with warehouse and production

  • Researching and working with Component Engineers on technical issues involved with parts (electronic and mechanical)

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Education: A Technical degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant technical experience.

    • Technical background involving components (electrical and mechanical)

    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and hierarchy definition

    • An understanding of standard manufacturing/production processes and flows

    • Familiarity with PDM systems and circuit card and PWB manufacturing processes

    • Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military, and aerospace flight applications

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Data collection and presentation skills to adequately discuss system impact of component issues

  • Knowledge of component failure modes by commodity

  • Knowledge component reliability process monitors and/or qualification methodologies

  • Knowledge of Component MIL drawings, standards, test specifications, and associated QPLs and QMLs

  • Ability to navigate multiple complex processes and tools
