The Team The Intel Compiler Engineering Team is a high performing team responsible for the industry-leading LLVM-based Intel C, C++, SYCL, and Fortran Compilers. The team consists of leaders in the LLVM community. We are continually pushing the boundaries of compiler technology in support of providing maximally useful and performant compilers for all of Intel's processor platforms, both CPU and GPUs. Position Overview The Intel Compiler Engineering Team is looking for performance tracking and analysis engineer to help us with compiler analysis, benchmark tunning, and competitor analysis. A compiler transforms source code into executable for target hardware, the key advantage of Intel compiler is it generates binaries with excellent performance for Intel silicon, by leveraging cutting edge compiler technologies in looping optimization, vectorization, code generation etc., as well as new features in latest CPUs and GPUs. The role is to triage issues related to Intel compiler performance and assure compiler deliver with best performance.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Good at algorithm and data structures and excellent development and debugging skills in at least one language: C/C++/Assembly/Java/Python.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to clearly communicate technical details and concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Parallel Programing, such as OpenMP, OpenCL, CUDA
  • Experience in CPU and GPU performance track and analysis.
  • Good knowledge of compilers like LLVM/GCC, Intel Architecture, or GPU.
  • Proven track record of analyzing and solving complex technical problems.
  • Precise attention to details and motivation to learn and improve the product performance.

The Software Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
