A Snapshot

The Compensation Operations & Equity Administration Manager ensures the efficient execution of compensation and equity processes, focusing on operational delivery, system readiness, and governance. The role manages pay cycles, equity plan administration, and HRIS comp. modules, translating established frameworks into streamlined, well-controlled procedures. 

Your Day to Day

Compensation Operations 

  • Lead the end-to-end operational delivery for annual pay reviews, employee promotions, and any out-of-cycle compensation changes. 
  • Take ownership of compensation cycle timelines, workflows, templates, validation processes, and approval steps to ensure smooth execution. 
  • Translate compensation frameworks into operational rules and configure systems accordingly to reflect these guidelines. 
  • Collaborate closely with People Operations and Payroll teams to ensure the accurate implementation of salary changes. 
  • Maintain compensation data integrity, comprehensive audit trails, and robust governance controls. 
  • Prepare operational reports and cycle-readiness materials for leadership review and decision-making. 

Equity Administration 

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of all equity plans. 
  • Serve as the operational owner of the equity platform, handling grant setup, vesting processes, leaver management, reporting, and responding to employee enquiries. 
  • Coordinate operational matters related to equity with Legal, Tax, Finance, and external vendors as required. 
  • Keep accurate participant records and maintain operational controls related to equity. 
  • Ensure strong compliance, thorough documentation, and governance across all equity activities. 

HRIS Compensation Systems Readiness 

  • Act as the lead for Compensation workstream (incl. equity) in HRIS implementations and system upgrades. 
  • Be responsible for user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, and readiness for go-live events concerning compensation and equity systems. 
  • Translate compensation requirements into configuration inputs for the HRIS system. 
  • Work collaboratively with HRIS, People Operations, Payroll, Finance, and vendors to ensure precise setup of compensation-related modules. 
  • Lead change readiness initiatives specific to compensation, including documentation, process mapping, and operational training. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS vendors on matters related to compensation and equity functionality. 

Compensation Infrastructure 

  • Own and manage operational tools such as the equity platform, HRIS reward modules, compensation cycle tools, and tracking systems. 
  • Develop scalable processes, standard operating procedures, and comprehensive documentation to support operational excellence. 
  • Drive automation and simplification of repeatable workflows to increase efficiency. 
  • Act as the initial point of escalation for any operational issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in compensation operations and equity administration within a multi-country and fast-growing environment. 
  • Practical experience supporting HRIS implementations or upgrades, including user acceptance testing and operational readiness. 
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, HiBob, Workday, or similar systems is preferred. 
  • Possess a strong operational mindset with keen attention to detail, control measures, and process discipline. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing compensation cycles and equity administration workflows. 
  • Ability to translate policies and frameworks into actionable system and operational execution. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, engaging with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and external vendors effectively. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex spreadsheets and data validation), PowerPoint, and Word.
