Position Summary - Compensation Director - based onsite in St. Petersburg, FL - Relocation Offered
The Compensation Director is responsible for developing and executing compensation strategies across the United States and Canada, while providing strategic support to global functional teams.
A key part of this role is partnering closely with HR Business Partners and senior leaders to deliver compensation solutions that are competitive, compliant, and aligned with Jabil’s business and talent strategies.
The position requires a global mindset, strong collaboration, and the ability to navigate complex and dynamic environments typical of a contract manufacturing organization.
What can you expect to do?
Strategic Business Partnership:
Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to HR Business Partners, regional leaders, and global functional leaders, ensuring compensation solutions support both business priorities and talent objectives.
Ability to influence client decision-making through the use of compelling data and analyses.
Compensation Strategy & Design:
Collaborate with Global Comp Team and HR Leaders to develop, design/re-design, plan and project management of compensation programs, policies, and processes.
Create solutions to complex compensation related issues as needed to support the business.
Global Collaboration:
Work closely with global compensation teams to ensure consistency and alignment across regions, and to support global projects such as job architecture, governance, and mobility.
Manage projects across multiple functions and client groups, applying depth/breadth of expertise and knowledge of both internal and external business practices to improve compensation programs.
Market Competitiveness & Benchmarking:
Conduct market analysis and benchmarking for a wide range of roles — from hourly manufacturing employees to executives — ensuring pay competitiveness and internal equity.
Compliance & Best Practices:
Stay current on compensation legislation and emerging market practices, including pay transparency, pay equity, and wellness-related trends.
Change Management & Agility:
Navigate and influence within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
Analytical Decision Support:
Use data-driven insights and tools (e.g., Workday, Mercer, WTW) to model compensation scenarios and support executive decision-making.
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field required. MBA or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Compensation or Finance, including at least 5 years in regional or global leadership roles.
Industry Experience:
Proven track record in multinational organizations, ideally within manufacturing, technology, or similar environments with large, diverse employee populations (hourly to executive). Ability to operate in a matrixed organization working across cultures.
Demonstrated experience managing compensation programs across multiple U.S. and Canadian locations.
Global Perspective: Prior experience collaborating within global compensation teams, with clear understanding of how global organizations operate.
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of HR systems (Workday, Mercer, WTW, etc.) and analytical tools.
Market Knowledge: Up-to-date understanding of compensation legislation, market trends, and evolving talent practices.
Core Competencies: Collaboration, influence, analytical rigor, adaptability, and executive communication.
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to make quality decisions in the face of ambiguity.
Ability to adapt and learn, as well as inspire change.
Strong interpersonal, coaching and listening skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
