We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career team at Mercer. This role will be based in Montreal or Quebec City, and it is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Compensation Consultant Associate, you will join a national team of 100 passionate consultants who have a wealth of expertise in employee and executive rewards, employee communication, talent strategy and workforce analytics. This is a great opportunity to work with a premier client base consisting of large complex Canadian and global organizations, and be able to tap into the expertise across Mercer’s global network and work with a broad range of colleagues and industry experts.
We will count on you:
Conduct research and analysis to understand industry and organization-specific issues, including business strategy, corporate performance, compensation and rewards practices and trends, and best practices in talent management
Analyze clients' strategic, financial, and organizational information to provide insights that will develop into rewards and talent solutions
Participate in team brainstorming sessions to develop client recommendations
Prepare client presentations, including recommendations presented to boards of directors, executives, senior management, and HR leaders
Developing a base salary and bonus program for non-executive employees
Creating role profiles and career path tools
What you need to have:
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in management consulting, total rewards, compensation, finance, human resources or accounting preferred
OR minimum 5 years of experience in project management, data analysis, financial modeling and presentation design
Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and a solid background in Excel
Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Bilingualism in both English & French
Intellectual curiosity, seeking opportunities to develop new skills
What makes you stand out?
BComm, HBA/MBA, MIR or related degree including significant coursework in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, human resources (HR) and/or accounting, or equivalent work experience preferred
Progress towards CHRP, CCP designations
