The role:

The Community Support Volunteer plays a key role in supporting community engagement, development, and awareness of Together Drug and Alcohol Service. Volunteers help promote the service, support community events, and assist with training delivery across the service’s catchment area, working both independently and alongside the Community Development Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to different areas within the service’s catchment to support community engagement and development activities.
  • Promote Together Drug and Alcohol Service to individuals, groups, and organisations within the community.
  • Represent the service professionally and positively at community support events.
  • Attend and support community events both independently and alongside the Community Development Lead.
  • Assist in the delivery of training sessions within the community alongside the Community Development Lead.
  • Build positive relationships with community members and partner organisations.
  • Provide feedback and insights from the community to support service development
  • Adhere to organisational policies, including confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries.

Tasks may include:

Travelling to the different areas within our catchment and assisting with community support and development. Promoting the service to others in the community independently and alongside the Community Development Lead. Attending community support events independently and alongside the community development lead. Assisting in delivering training in the community alongside the community development lead.

Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.
