PATH began its work in India in the late 1990s, bringing together governments, communities, private-sector companies, and experienced public health practitioners to address some of the country’s most pressing health issues. Today, PATH’s India projects focus on TB/HIV, vaccines, nutrition, heath innovation, and more. PATH’s India country program engages with various stakeholders and target groups for which the creation of compelling and engaging visual content is essential.


Objective of the Assignment

Communications is critical to advancing PATH’s mission. The Communication Associate-Content will be responsible for ideating, planning, writing, editing, delivering, managing, and evaluating content related to PATH key strategic priorities, activities and projects for various audiences and channels, including supporting activities through events, social media, and digital engagement.


Scope of Work

As a part of a cross-cutting communications team, the candidate will develop engaging strategies and communication initiatives for PATH’s various stakeholders, audiences, and channels, both online and offline, to achieve key strategic communication objectives by focusing on (but not limited to) achievement of the following results:

  • Support writing of content that aids strategy, communication and influencing efforts, both short- and long-term

  • Lead the creation of blogs, project brochures, case studies, fact sheets, articles, success stories, pitch decks, talking points, and other strategy and communication assets.

  • Help develop a strategic content and digital calendar to ensure a regular content flow for various needs and the organization's digital channels.

  • Develop content and graphics for multiple social media platforms and channels.

  • Support in organizing events along with event collaterals like talking points, presentation decks, banners, etc., as per the project’s requirements.

  • Be an arbiter and creator of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style for the organization

  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of the organization's style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for different channels and audiences of content, including online, social media, email, video and print

  • Ensure all communication material is in line with the donor’s branding and marking policy

  • Maintain content inventories, including photo, video and design assets

  • Provide advice, guidance and training on the effective creation, use and dissemination of content to project staff

  • Any other work as assigned and needed

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. Freshers ready to learn can also apply. Experience in working with NGOs will be an asset.

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in English/Journalism/Mass Communication from a reputed college.

  • Flair for creating compelling content that can engage and influence different audiences from technical updates, reports and case studies.

  • Strong writing and editing skills in English. Similar skills in Hindi and other vernaculars will be preferred.

  • Strong skills in using design software like Canva.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure with tight deadlines.

  • Self-starter, adaptable, and able to work as part of a cross-cutting and multi-cultural team.

  • Open to travel to project sites for extended periods if required.
