Job Summary: You will serve as a COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY MANAGER in the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic Detachment of NCTAMS LANT DET ROTA, Spain. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by1.) Performing communications systems inspections, conducting interviews, and analyzing information obtained to complete various communication security (COMSEC) reports; 2.) Interpreting and applying security policies to ensure proper handling of classified COMSEC material and equipment; 3.) Processing defective equipment for the safe, secure and recorded receipt, transfer and repair of COMSEC material to the COMSEC Material Issuing Office (CMIO), CRYPTO Repair Facility (CRF) and into the Defense Courier Service (DCS).
