Representing the pinnacle of performance, innovation, and brand storytelling, The Cadillac Formula 1â Team is a platform to showcase GM’s technological leadership and elevate the Cadillac brand on the world stage. As this program accelerates, we are building a communications team to match its ambition and global reach.

Role Overview:

This Manager-level role will lead communications strategy and execution for Cadillac’s Formula 1 program. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the global narrative around Cadillac F1, managing high-impact media relations, and driving integrated communications efforts that support GM’s brand, product, and performance goals. This is a leadership role requiring strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. The ability to develop relationships quickly with key stakeholders will be critical. Managing key contacts at TWG Motorsports and the Cadillac Formula 1 Team to establish clear roles and responsibilities is key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications Leadership

Develop and execute a global communications strategy for Cadillac F1, aligned with GM’s corporate and brand objectives.

Serve as a senior advisor to internal stakeholders on motorsport communications, brand alignment, and media engagement.

Identify opportunities to elevate Cadillac F1 across earned, owned, and social media channels.

Content Development & Editorial Oversight

Oversee the creation of press releases, reports, executive messaging, and internal communications specific to Cadillac F1.

Lead the development of high-impact storytelling that connects F1 performance to Cadillac’s innovation and luxury positioning.

Guide content strategy for social media, digital platforms, and multimedia assets in collaboration with creative and digital teams.

Media Relations & Reputation Management

Act as a key media spokesperson and liaison for GM in F1.

Build and maintain strong relationships with global motorsport, automotive, and mainstream media.

Lead media briefings, press events, and race weekend communications operations.

Monitor media coverage and manage issues/crisis communications as needed.

Event & Race Weekend Leadership

Lead communications planning and execution at Formula 1 race events globally.

Oversee hospitality communications, guest experience materials, and on-site media engagement.

Ensure alignment with F1 organizers, promoters, and team partners.

Internal Communications & Cross-Functional Integration

Drive internal awareness and engagement around Cadillac F1 through regular updates, internal platforms, and executive communications.

Collaborate with Cadillac, GM brand, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging and strategic alignment.

Act as the internal champion for Cadillac F1 communications across GM’s global business units.

Working cross-functionally and helping global markets activate is crucial.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; master’s degree preferred.

7–10 years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in motorsports, automotive, or global brand industries.

Proven leadership in developing and executing strategic communications plans.

Strong media relations experience, including crisis management and executive communications.

Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a deep understanding of brand voice and tone.

Experience managing cross-functional teams and agency partners.

Deep knowledge of the Formula 1 media landscape and global motorsport ecosystem.

Willingness to travel frequently, including international events.

Passion for motorsport, innovation, and brand storytelling.

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington. 

The salary range for this role is ($175,800 – 256,000). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position. 

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
