Position summary:

You will lead country-level Communications, Government Affairs, and Market Access engagement in Türkiye. You will build trusted relationships with government and healthcare stakeholders and will work closely with commercial, medical, regulatory and regional teams. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Lead the development and execution of communications, government affairs and market access  strategies for Türkiye in line with regional and global priorities
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with policymakers, government institutions, embassies, health authorities, and professional associations
  • Provide timely policy and political insight to internal senior leaders to inform business and access decisions
  • Lead implementation of corporate advocacy, therapeutic area and product engagement plans with senior policymakers, high-level bureaucrats and key influencers
  • Design and implement stakeholder engagement plans, including senior leader deployment and external representation
  • Lead cross-functional projects and represent Türkiye in regional advocacy forums and working groups
  • Set and drive strategic direction for pricing, reimbursement and access strategies across GSK’s portfolio, ensuring alignment with regulatory pathways, launch planning and business priorities
  • Oversee pricing and reimbursement submissions and supervise forecasts and potential scenarios for price and reimbursement changes that impact the business
  • Ensure GSK’s purpose, strategy, priorities and values are clearly communicated and embedded across the organization through effective internal engagement and communication initiatives
  • Oversee the development and execution of external and brand communications strategies that support both short-term business objectives and long-term reputation building
  • Maintain strong awareness of the media landscape and ensure effective engagement across traditional and digital channels
  • Build and continuously strengthen business-focused and best-in-class CGA, Market Access and Pricing capabilities that support business priorities and long-term organizational effectiveness
  • Monitor and interpret political, societal, economic, regulatory, pricing and access developments as well as broader market trends and translate these insights into actionable recommendations that inform business and commercial strategies
  • Maintain strong understanding of regulatory, pricing and access policies to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities for the business
  • Lead patient advocacy strategy by developing partnerships with patient organizations and aligning local initiatives with regional and global patient engagement strategies
  • Act as the main liaison with government ministries, health agencies and payer bodies
  • Translate policy developments into clear business implications and recommended actions
  • Support reimbursement, pricing and access discussions with evidence and policy arguments
  • Coordinate external scientific engagement with healthcare professionals and patient groups
  • Develop position papers, briefings and stakeholder materials that are clear and persuasive

Basic Qualifications:

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, medicine, pharmacy or other life sciences, economics, health economics, business administration, international relations or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in senior Communications, Government Affairs and Market Access leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry, bringing a unique and integrated capability across health policy, health economics, pricing, communications, patient advocacy and access strategy.  This blended expertise is critical to lead an integrated CGA and Market Access agenda, reflecting the highly interconnected policy, access and stakeholder dynamics of the healthcare environment
  • Deep expertise and knowledge in the healthcare environment in Turkey, including market access, pricing, reimbursement and regulatory frameworks, as well as pharmaceutical market dynamics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English
  • Strong understanding of Turkey’s government affairs and access landscape, with demonstrated ability to engage and influence key decision-makers
  • Proven ability to work across matrixed teams and influence senior leaders
  • Experience representing an organization in multi-stakeholder forums or industry associations
  • Ability to travel within Türkiye and regionally as required. This role is hybrid, based in Türkiye with regular office presence expected
