McLean, VA Full time
Communications & Events Specialist, Senior

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a fully cleared, experienced communications specialist and event planner who can take initiative, work independently, and get things done with minimal direction for an Intelligence Community client. In this individual contributor role, you’ll shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure events come together like clockwork and the workforce is kept informed of initiatives and successes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who likes to wear multiple hats, pays attention to all the details, excels at managing multiple moving parts simultaneously, and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same.

On the communications front, you'll use strong writing skills, strategic thinking, and an understanding of how to engage and motivate audiences to earn the client's trust and advance their mission. You will create and execute communications strategies, ensuring work is done on deadline and to a high standard. You'll put together a monthly newsletter, write original articles, promote successes to the broader workforce, prepare briefing materials and executive talking points, and identify other areas where communications can add value to the client's mission.

On the events front, you will use your creative thinking and organizational skills to plan and execute multiple events per year, both close to home and at other locations in the United States. Each event involves managing logistics for offsite venues, ordering catering, managing invitations and RSVPs, coordinating with the client and other stakeholders on the schedule and content, managing the run-of-show during the event, and following up with an after-action review that identifies process improvements for future events. You will take initiative to ensure every event is a success, keeping the client informed of your progress throughout the planning process.

Work with us as we design, develop, and produce flawless events and compelling communications to change the Intelligence Community for the better.

Join us. The world can’t wait.
