Position Summary
You will join the Communications and Government Affairs team in Taiwan. You will work closely with communications, policy, legal and business colleagues across the region. We value clear writing, thoughtful judgement and collaborative working. This role offers hands-on learning, meaningful impact on public and policy conversations, and a chance to grow while contributing to GSK’s mission of uniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Draft clear, audience-focused briefings, messages and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support engagement with government, policy makers and external partners through meeting preparation and follow-up materials.
  • Monitor and summarise policy, media and stakeholder developments relevant to our priorities in Taiwan.
  • Help plan and deliver communications campaigns across digital and offline channels.
  • Prepare concise briefing notes and Q&A documents for spokespeople and senior colleagues.
  • Support cross-functional projects to ensure communications and policy considerations are included early.


Responsibilities

  • Write and edit briefings, statements, presentations and social content that are accurate and easy to understand.
  • Turn complex information into clear messages for different audiences.
  • Support coordination with government affairs and policy colleagues to align external engagement.
  • Track media and policy conversations and provide short, actionable summaries to the team.
  • Assist in planning and running stakeholder meetings, events and internal briefings.
  • Contribute to measurement, reporting and continual improvement of communications activity.


Why You?

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals

  • University degree or current enrollment in communications, public policy, political science, journalism, international relations, or a related field.
  • Strong written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and good English communication skills.
  • Experience producing concise briefings, messages or presentation materials.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Good judgement, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information.
  • Right to work in Taiwan and willingness to work on-site as required.


Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus

  • Previous experience in government affairs, public affairs or policy research.
  • Experience with media monitoring, analysis or stakeholder mapping.
  • Familiarity with digital and social media communications and basic content creation.
  • Project management experience and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders or preparing spokespeople.
  • Understanding of Taiwan’s health policy, regulatory or political landscape.


Working arrangements
This role is on-site in Taiwan with some flexibility for hybrid working based on team needs and performance.
