Are you ready to drive the execution of our compressor and drive system strategies for GEA products and programs? As a Commodity Sourcing Senior Manager at GE Appliances, you'll play a pivotal role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating agreements, and ensuring the success of our supply chain. We're seeking a driven leader who can work collaboratively across functions to take our ideas and new products from concept to completion.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Lead sourcing strategy and manage all aspects of supplier relationships for the assigned commodity, utilizing your expertise in technology, materials, negotiation, market dynamics, and competition.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver material cost savings, quality improvements, on-time delivery, and cash flow goals.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Utilize request-for-quote (RFQ) tools and systems to manage supplier negotiations and data, identifying and driving project execution within the designated commodities.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Manage direct supplier relationships comprehensively, including commercial and supply chain management, and lead strategic negotiations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Assess supplier risk and lead mitigation efforts, including end-of-life (EOL) considerations.
  • Innovation: Introduce supplier innovations to enhance GEA's cost-effectiveness and product features.
  • Liaison: Act as a liaison between Sourcing, other business functions, and suppliers to ensure effective support for programs and new product introduction (NPI) efforts.
  • Strategic Relationships: Manage strategic relationships with specific suppliers across Sourcing teams including coordination with affiliates.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 years of relevant experience within supply chain, program management, commodity management, or a related role involving negotiation and supplier selection.
  • Experience negotiating Multi-Year agreements with key suppliers, including warranty and liability terms.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members and influence decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% travel- domestic and/or international travel to affiliate sites and suppliers.
