Summary:
Search and examine commercial title records and create accurate title commitments and other reports in a timely fashion, focusing on basic to moderately complex title orders. Promptly answer members’ questions and resolve moderately complex title issues.
Strongly prefer candidates to work a hybrid on-site schedule in our Fort Meyers office. Will consider fully remote for the right candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Verify all property and tax information obtained is complete and correctly reported.
Verify all necessary maps and additional documents for customer packages are made for each search.
Confirm starter base is appropriate for run start date, and all subsequent information is included in search package.
Review and interpret all documents, maps and instruments contained in the chain of title obtained from various property information systems from a direct starter date.
Support Searching Unit as needed for product workflow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply commercial title examination knowledge and underwriting standards to search title records to identify the records that may affect basic to moderately complex title orders. Learn and apply basic-to-moderate mapping to identify accurate search parameters.
Organize search results into an accurate chain of title for basic to moderately complex commercial title orders.
Examine all the documents such as such as leases, subleases, acreage, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics in the chain of title for validity based on ownership and knowledge of legal descriptions, real property law and Old Republic Title guidelines.
Prepare final title products, including the attachment of applicable records and tax information.
Title examination of complex title orders requiring a high level of title expertise.
Complies with Company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and completes mandatory company compliance training by prescribed deadlines.
At a minimum, the ability to work your scheduled work hours, Monday through Friday.
Ability to work overtime as requested by management.
Dependable, reliable and punctual attendance is required, which may include in-office attendance or attendance at company, industry or other events that occur outside regular business hours.
Ability to accept supervision and direction, as well as constructive feedback.
Ability to collaborate and interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.
Demonstrates courtesy, flexibility, professionalism and is proactive and responsive to supervisor/manager, co-workers and customer needs and expectations.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Knowledge of locating techniques and legal descriptions used for real property.
Knowledge of real property computer database programs, and the ability to compile accurate and complete title information abstracts from the following real property information systems based on your local operations customarily practice.
Knowledge of title insurance practices, real estate law and Company policy relating to the issuance of preliminary reports.
Ability to operate effectively under time constraints and produce accurate preliminary reports from short title search packages.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
2 plus years of Title Industry experience.
Ability to function effectively under time sensitive production environment.
Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Ability to work in fast paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meets prescribed deadlines.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.
Written and verbal communications are clear, grammatically correct and business appropriate.

Excellent professional written, verbal, listening and communication skills.
Must be a personable, positive, and professional representative of the company.
