Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Commercial Sales Manager to join our team in Somerset, NJ.
The Commercial Sales Manager- National is responsible for gaining a deep understanding of the local market(s) and the business models, strategic priorities, future direction, financial drivers and leadership profiles of existing and potential new Fleet customers. The Commercial Sales Manager - National will work with their local business partners to translate understanding into business opportunities and plans that lead to strategic collaborations vs. transactional relationships. This role will drive Business to Business fleet sales which are defined by an account that purchases 15 or more units within a calendar year. Sales objectives are set by national fleet business unit based on fleet Polk registrations and communicated annually. The geographic territory is currently defined by Nissan regional maps.
A Day in the Life:
Responsible for soliciting and negotiating sales contracts with corporations, global key accounts, fleet management companies, and leasing companies.
Responsible for balancing profits and volume of units sold.
Requires strong, proven sales skills, excellent customer service, and long-term commitment to ensure Nissan is viewed as a valued business partner with companies and organizations.
Align selling strategies, focuses, and campaigns with our Commercial Sales Managers – (National and Fleetail), Fleet Distribution, Aftersales, and Fleet Operations.
Provide account management of our major fleet accounts, interfacing with Commercial Sales Manager – Fleetail, and National Fleet Operations on required services. The CSM - National will encourage relationships between fleet management companies and large commercial customers.
Who We're Looking for:
Highly motivated self-starter who can plan and manage activities in a virtual office environment with minimal direct supervision.
5+ years Commercial Vehicle sales experience or strong Business to Business sales experience is required with emphasis on major account/fleet sales.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required and/or equivalent commercial vehicle fleet sales experience or business to business proven sales track record.
For current Nissan employees, completion of Nissan Sales & Service Way Training and Model Line Certification preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
Additional knowledge of sales related systems.
Experience using Salesforce.com a plus.
Travel:
75% Required travel within designated territory.

$96,776.00 - $172,830.00Salary Range Estimate: Annual Salary: (Minimum to Maximum of Salary Range noted here). This compensation range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rates at Nissan for jobs assigned to this particular grade level.
