Commercial Lines Account Manager, Mid-Market

About The Role

We’re seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join our Mid-Market Commercial Insurance team. The Account Manager is a key client service partner to producers on an assigned book of business, playing a central role in maintaining long-term relationships with clients by addressing the client’s needs.

 

This is an ideal role for a strong team player who is organized, detailed oriented, and has a commitment to delivering results on required deadlines. 

  

 

What You’ll Do

  • Act as one of the primary points of contact for an assigned book; responsible for maintaining key client and insurer relationships

  • Meeting existing client’s needs, including but not limited to quotes, premium adjustments, endorsements, renewals, and claims

  • Prepare and monitor insurance submissions, proposals, and summaries of insurance with the support of an account assistant for the processing of binders, certificates, and billings

  • Negotiate with insurers to best meet the needs of the client in conjunction with the producer remarketing where necessary

  • Collect premiums from clients in a timeline pursuant to HUB standards

  

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success 

  • RIBO (Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario) license Required

  • Typically, 2+ years of industry, or product line experience with a focus on commercial risks

  • Extensive experience in the placement of Mid-Market Risks (General P&C and Liability)

  • Effective organizational skills and time management

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal), present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive

  • Experienced in delivering client-focused solutions based on unique needs

  • Pursuit of insurance industry designations (CIP, CAIB, etc.) is a plus

  • Proficiency with computer applications expected; EPIC experience is an asset

The expected salary range for this position is $71,200 to $96,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
