We’re looking for a Commercial Account Assistant to support our dynamic Surety Solutions Practice in downtown Toronto. What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and execute surety bond transactions across Canada
  • Communicate directly with clients and insurers, delivering prompt, professional responses to inquiries
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date client documentation using our internal systems (EPIC)
  • Set up electronic files and manage data integrity across platforms
  • Support Account Managers with administrative and client service tasks
  • Keep our workflows on track with effective follow-up and abeyance systems
  • Jump in where needed collaboration and adaptability are key

What You’ll Need for Success

  • 2+ years of administrative or client service experience preferably in insurance
  • RIBO license is a strong asset; if you don’t have it yet, we’ll support you in getting it
  • Bonus points for prior surety or commercial insurance knowledge
  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, and digital platforms
  • You’re obsessed with details and catch the small things that make a big difference
  • Stellar time management and organizational skills
  • You’re a great communicator: confident in both written and verbal interactions
  • Team player with a proactive, customer-first mindset
  • Curious and eager to learn and you’re not afraid to ask questions or pitch in

The expected salary range for this position is $47,000 to $55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
