We’re thrilled that you are interested in joining us here at the Amynta Group! We’re looking for an entrepreneurial middle market commercial inland marine producer or production underwriter to expand the distribution of our industry leading products.
This fully remote position is part of the management team for our Physical Damage / Commercial Inland Marine Insurance products. Working with stakeholders from Sales, Claims, Legal, Marketing and IT, you will deliver world class physical damage / Commercial Inland Marine insurance for agricultural, construction and material handling equipment distributed through our equipment dealer network.
Responsibilities:
- Pitch and close prospective dealers and clients from our regular inflow of prospects
- Manage ongoing customer relationships for assigned dealers and clients
- Identifies trends in physical damage insurance for target equipment and implements our responses leading to both top line and bottom growth for the product.
- Conducts competitive analyses to monitor key competitor and OEM activities.
- Drives product development to deliver products that create compelling equipment owner value, dealer benefits and OEM profitability.
- Works closely with key internal and external stakeholders to assess the on-going health of the product. Recommends future product changes/enhancements.
- Develops and implements the go-to-market product plan to support launches and enhancements.
- Engages with Partners and Dealers to get market trends, create competitive analyses and deliver product feedback.
- Acts as a resource for product and competitive related inquiries from field and internal stakeholders.
- Assists with product training for internal and dealer training sessions.
- Manages regulatory compliance risk for the products including working with the underwriter to submit regulatory filings and ensuring dealer and agency licensing requirements are met.
- Performs internal underwriting and claims audits
- Participates in the annual and strategic planning process for the products
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in property and casualty insurance production, underwriting, product management, or compliance.
- Experience in program / affinity / association business is a plus but is not required
- Middle market commercial lines generalist underwriting is a plus but is not required
- Inland Marine expertise is a plus but is not required
- Insurance/Warranty, Financial Services or related Product Development and Management Experience is a plus but is not required
- Licensed P&C producer in US or Canada, or willingness to obtain producer license
Knowledge / Competencies:
- Strong presentation skills - capable of communicating effectively with senior management, internal team members, external vendors, regulators, industry and dealer audiences
- Strong analytical skills including financial analysis, competitive analysis, and product pricing
- Product development skills – working with multiple stakeholders in developing, launching and managing
- Proficient computer skills, specifically MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed orientated and organized
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, leading and participating in a team environment
- Travel Requirements ~ 10%

Education:
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience / certifications
- Certifications may include Associate in Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Program in General Insurance (INS), Associate of Risk Management (ARM), Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) or other applicable designations.
