Role Summary
The Commercial Finance Supervisor will support the Commercial Finance Manager in driving financial performance, control, and accountability within the commercial organization. This role is responsible for overseeing monthly financial processes, ensuring compliance, providing accurate reporting, and strengthening governance related to trade spend, OPEX, commitments, and distributor-related financial activities.
The position requires strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including CCD, Sales, Supply Chain, and Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Monitoring
Prepare and maintain Trade & Ethical Discount Monitoring Reports to track usage of the discount.
Perform Monthly Actual Commitment Review and ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts.
Conduct Open PO Reviews for month-end closing purposes, ensuring PO accuracy and closure of unused commitments.
Execute Monthly OPEX Monitoring, analyze variances, and highlight potential risks/opportunities.
Perform Monthly Alignment spend with CCD /Trade Marketing to ensure accurate reporting and provision.
2. Process & Governance
Maintain overbudget checker tools to strengthen internal control.
Support Month End Closing activities, ensuring accuracy of accruals, provisions, and reclasses.
Manage Withholding Tax Slips Aging, following up with tax team to ensure timely issuance and clearance.
3. Distributor Finance Management
Distribute Withholding Tax (WHT) Slips to distributors and ensure proper documentation.
Oversee Trading Term Utilization , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with approved schemes.
Support monitoring and reporting of E-commerce spend and utilization.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with CCD, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy in trade spend, incentives, and OPEX.
Coordinate with Accounting and Tax teams for compliance in WHT, accruals, and documentation.
5. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and reporting dashboards.
Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are updated and followed consistently.
Support audit requests and ensure proper documentation and financial controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in finance or commercial finance roles.
Experience with SAP/ERP systems and Excel-based analysis tools preferred.
Strong understanding of trade spend, OPEX, WHT, and month-end closing processes.
