About the Fund Partner Relationship Team

The Fund Partner Relationship Team (FPR) sits within Global Platform Solutions (GPS), which covers Fidelity’s platform businesses. The team are responsible for all fund provider contract negotiations and asset due diligence across the GPS platforms. FPR also provides Relationship Management support, managing commercial terms with fund providers and helping resolve any operational friction. At all times FPR works in the best interest of GPS and its clients.

About the role
The Contract Specialist will be responsible for coordinating new fund provider launches across the GPS platforms, with responsibility for negotiating commercially focused contracts with fund providers whilst ensuring all other business areas deliver their requirements to meet the expected launch date. The Contract Specialist will also be responsible for all existing contract updates and the maintenance of the fund provider information held on our CRM system, Salesforce.

This role will require you to:

  • Manage the end-to-end launch process for fund providers joining GPS
  • Negotiate commercial terms with new and existing fund providers
  • Manage any existing contract updates
  • Lead the recovery of outstanding costs from fund providers, as per their contractual terms, including invoices and error correction costs
  • Support any ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required
  • Help teams prioritise new fund groups for launch
  • Be the subject matter expert for fund provider launches, supporting any internal queries/escalations
  • Product owner for the teams' CRM system. Ensure the CRM system is kept up to date with clear notes for all new and existing contract updates. Set the standards for CRM record keeping and ensure other team members understand the requirements. Expand the value the team get from the system 
  • Support annual audits
  • Work in partnership with the legal team, evolve the contracts in line with changing client, business, regulatory and industry needs
  • Remain flexible, supporting activities across the wider FPR team as needed

About you

  • Experience negotiating contracts, ideally in the financial services industry
  • A legal background would be advantageous
  • Acts with integrity ensuring the right outcomes for the business, our clients and fund providers we work with
  • Excellent relationship building skills with high energy levels and resilient temperament
  • Strong communicator, both internally and externally at a senior level with the clear ability to negotiate as well as influence
  • Proficient using AI in a work environment
  • Flexible approach, providing support across the team
  • Experience of using a CRM, especially SalesForce, would be preferable
  • Resourceful individual with strong intellectual curiosity and consultative approach to business
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise multiple tasks and workloads to a very high level.
  • Flexible and positive attitude – with “can-do” approach, a self-starter that “can think on your feet” and clear ability to swiftly change business and task focus when required
  • Delivery and results focussed
