Organization & Team Overview 

The Campus Planning team oversees strategic space planning for the Comcast Center Campus in downtown Philadelphia, comprised of the Comcast Center and Comcast Technology Center. The team brings together Workplace Strategy and Occupancy Planning, and partners across the business to support an efficient, adaptable, and employee-centered workplace. 

 

Workplace Strategy leads cross-functional projects and initiatives, evaluates how specialty and collaboration spaces are used, and develops employee-facing communications and resources. Occupancy Planning manages seat assignments, coordinates employee moves, and partners with business units to optimize space usage and team adjacencies across campus. Together, the team helps shape a day-to-day workplace experience that is strategic, efficient, and responsive to employee needs. 

 

Mobility supports employee relocations across the organization, including moves between company locations. 

 

Role Description

Are you energized by solving problems, working across teams, and supporting projects that improve how employees experience the workplace every day? As a Campus Planning Co-op, you will support the Campus Planning and Mobility teams by contributing to space planning initiatives, workplace data analysis, employee move coordination, and process improvement efforts across the Comcast Center Campus. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys variety in their day-to-day work, and is interested in helping create a smooth and efficient employee experience for employees across the Comcast Center Campus. 

 

What are some interesting problems the student will work on 

In this role, you will work on projects that connect workplace data, space usage, and employee experience. You will help the team understand how spaces across campus are being used by gathering data, auditing work areas, and contributing to discussions that inform workplace planning decisions. This role offers exposure to real workplace challenges, including how to optimize space, support team adjacencies, and create an environment that helps employees and the business succeed. 

 

Where can this student make an impact?  

You will have a direct impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the Comcast Center Campus by helping manage space, support project execution, and partner with leads across the business to meet evolving workplace needs. Success in this role is characterized by strong process management, attention to detail, confidence in the quality of your audit results, and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Conduct audits of specialized areas to help ensure compliance, including analysis of badge scan data provided by Comcast Security. 

  • Perform field audits to validate the accuracy of occupancy and room-use data. 

  • Maintain and update space repositories and related documentation. 

  • Assist in reviewing space requests, including leveraging reports to determine alignment between business needs and available space, and prepare templated documentation to formalize space assignments. 

  • Generate reports on occupancy data from our IWMS system. 

  • Collaborate with the Occupancy Planning team to maintain seat assignment information in our IWMS system during large move and restack initiatives. 

  • Gather and analyze data to prepare key insights that help translate business needs into workplace planning recommendations. 

  • Identify process efficiencies and support implementation and execution activities, including participation in lessons learned and continuous improvement efforts. 

  • Assist in creating educational materials on workplace processes and objectives for functional partners. 

  • Apply problem-solving skills to support a range of complex and confidential employee-related matters. 

  • Participate in vendor-related meetings with the Mobility team to better understand relocation processes and Relocation Benefit Summaries across different employee populations. 

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong time management abilities. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to gather, organize, and analyze data in a thoughtful and structured way. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Smartsheet is preferred, but not required. 
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism.

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track. 
  • Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 22, 2026, through March 26, 2027. 
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs 
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting

Compensation

Base Pay: $23.00
