RegularThe Coagulator Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the continuous batch process cheese making equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand the entire feta make process.
- Set up and run the daily production schedule as needed.
- Monitor all ingredients used and replenish as needed.
- Oversee the operation of the coagulator and make corrections as needed.
- Oversee all conveyors and make corrections as needed.
- Monitor ware items on equipment and replace per Agropur policy.
- Monitor the product to keep within make-specification and adjust as needed.
- Wash equipment as needed and maintain a clean environment.
- Aid Production Supervisor when running trials.
- Monitor all chemicals and replenish as needed.
- Advise Production Supervisor of issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate with other plant workers/operators as needed.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Safety Protocol
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Required:
- No experience required; in-house training provided.
- Previous cheese making experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure Required:
- Cheese Makers and/or Pasteurizer License preferred; in-house training toward Licensure provided.
Skills Required:
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
