Cluster Lead – Data, Technology, and Advisory Services (Senior Leadership Role)
Location: Singapore, Tokyo, or Sydney
Function: Advisory Services, Global Data, Technology, and Advisory Services (DTAS)
About the Role
We are seeking inspirational leaders to shape and elevate our Global enterprise Data, Technology, and Advisory Services presence across the United States, Japan, and Asia/Pacific. In an increasingly complex market, our HQ, regional HQ, and enterprise clients face deep challenges. Cluster Leads will serve as trusted partners to these clients, developing deep understanding of their challenges and consistently earning IQVIA the opportunity to support them.
Globally, IQVIA’s clients face daunting challenges: declining R&D productivity, relentless cost pressure, and deteriorating operating economics. Clients urgently need to evolve their models to achieve greater agility, speed, and commercial precision. By combining its unique proprietary data assets, its deep expertise in data architecture and analytics, and its global advisory services, IQVIA has a unique opportunity to be a partner of choice to clients as they navigate this transformation. Earning this opportunity requires strong front-line leaders with a proven ability to build intimacy and trust with senior decision-makers.
As the Cluster Lead for JAPAC, you will serve as the senior client-facing DTAS leader for your region, shaping commercial strategy, driving growth, and ensuring exceptional delivery across a cross-functional team. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, deepen client intimacy, and champion integrated solutions across a range of asset and above-asset priorities. You will bring a partner-level presence, demonstrating the strategic influence, commercial acumen, and people leadership central to the success of professional service firms.
What You’ll Do:
- Be the senior face of DTAS for your Cluster, trusted by SVP‑level and other senior stakeholders as a strategic advisor, sounding board, and thought‑partner
- Set and own the Technology and Advisory Services growth agenda for your cluster — defining key client priorities, shaping large‑scale opportunities, and driving year‑over‑year expansion and customer satisfaction
- Model deep client intimacy and exemplify best‑in‑class client leadership, operating close to your customers, regularly present onsite, and deeply embedded in their strategic priorities
- Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to leverage expertise within Advisory Services (brand strategy, portfolio strategy, value & access, digital health) and the broader DTAS portfolio (data strategy, architecture, outsourcing, technology) — fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Ensure high-impact delivery, ensuring work is insight‑rich, strategic, rigorous, and reflective of the high expectations of our customers; further, you will work with your peers across DTAS to ensure a consistent and high standard of deliverable quality and customer experience
- Cultivate and nurture top talent, coaching and elevating emerging leaders, providing crisp direction, and creating an environment where teams thrive and grow.
- Inform and deepen IQVIA’s Thought Leadership and insight, collaborating with IQVIA’s Thought Leadership organization and front-line practitioners to shape, refine, and communicate strategic insights about critical issues facing our clients
- Influence across the enterprise, collaborating closely with other DTAS leaders, GADs, Client Partners, and senior executives to lead and shape client engagement on priority topics and accelerate impact
- Own your business, delivering on customer revenue and margin targets
What You Bring
- Experience operating at Senior Principal or Partner level in a top-tier consulting environment or comparable internal strategy/advisory leadership.
- Broad capabilities and experience across key client priorities, including technology, transformation, commercial strategy, and health care.
- A track record of owning and growing major client relationships, with deep comfort engaging senior decision-makers.
- Strong commercial acumen: opportunity shaping, complex pursuit leadership, customer value articulation, senior stakeholder orchestration.
- A leadership style that inspires confidence, unlocks team performance, and elevates the bar for consulting excellence.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and develop multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic, evolving environment.
- Passion for client engagement and a pronounced ability to operate with high presence on client site, building trust through proximity, responsiveness, and insight.
- Deep intellectual curiosity and learning agility: a pronounced ability to learn and digest new content and to apply it to customer challenges and priorities
