About The Job:
The Red Hat APAC Openshift Platform Team leadership is looking for a seasoned Sales leader to lead a team of Sales Specialists to drive exponential market growth across India.
In this role you will lead the team to promote Red Hat’s OpenShift Portfolio of solutions, products, and services both direct to customers and through and together with the Partner Ecosystem. This role reports to the APAC Openshift SSP Leader and is closely involved in developing and implementing product growth strategies and comprehensive solution approaches. You will have the responsibility to drive the Emerging product business across India working in partnership with the regional SSP Tech Sales Leaders.
You will also be responsible for the execution of programs to drive product portfolio growth across APAC. This will involve close collaboration across teams from Marketing, Business Units, Finance, Operations, and both APAC and Global leadership teams.
You and your team will be primarily responsible for driving net new business with the Red Hat Portfolio of products across both “show how it’s done” by meeting with customers and partners to enable our teams and grow the business in alignment with communicated sales goals.
As a Sales Leader, it will be your responsibility to build, train, develop, and manage this team to expand Red Hat’s footprint and develop new revenue streams.
What You Will Do:
Guide budget and quota setting. You will be responsible for working with Finance teams (globally and at the APAC geo level) to set quotas based on the right product portfolio mix and growth we need to achieve.
Increase sales bookings and revenue by meeting targeted bookings, revenue, profit, and growth goals focused on strategic solutions, accounts, projects, and deals.
Growth and sales pipeline. Build the sales team to work with new and existing customers and partners to drive required pipeline multipliers by product and by region.
Drive emerging product forecasting as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews and reporting.
Develop comprehensive sales plans and strategies, executing them to expand the business and achieve growth targets.
Team Leadership. Lead the team, transforming it into a group of skilled Sales Specialists with a strong focus on cross-functional collaboration to support our Account teams across the India region.
Serve as a member of the APAC Tech Sales Leadership team to represent your team. Maintain close peer-level working relationships to contribute to the strategic and tactical success of Red Hat's core business in India.
Develop, coach, and mentor your team to grow the business, promoting effective sales strategies by following Red Hat’s Core values and Open Management practices.
Motivate and inspire your team to take on competitors to expand Red Hat’s market share.
Represent Red Hat. Serve as a spokesperson at external events (virtual and in-person), speaking to C-suite customer and partner executives, and discussing market trends, Red Hat Use cases, products, and services.
Be the voice of India Tech Sales at external media events and marketing/sales campaigns.
Lead the team to achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets by establishing sales goals, monitoring achievement, and supporting collaborative account team relationships.
What You Will Bring:
7-10 years of progressive sales leadership experience in a technology organization.
Strong relationship orientation with proven ability to build credibility at all levels within a client organization, including the C-suite.
Hire and mentor tech sales professionals across India to lead with mastery in open innovation & culture
Experience in working with sales targets and leading teams to achieve them.
Demonstrated ability to use knowledge, processes, and solutions selling strategies and methodologies to meet revenue growth objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills (in English), including experience presenting to C-suite executives in large organizations.
Excellent focus on the customer and ability to gain access to senior decision-makers.
Ability to coach associates in the development of their solutions-selling skills to execute on-account plans.
Multicultural awareness and mindset.
Willingness to travel and use on-line collaboration tools to build relationships and the business, remotely.
