$21.45 - $32.20Major Responsibilities: 1. RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING PATIENTS FOR CLINIC VISITS 1)Appropriately schedule and registers patient procedures/ visits depending upon patients needs, procedure requirements, and or physician schedule. 2)Sends conformation letter, history and physical packet along with appointment card to the patient prior to their visit. 3)Maintains physician and specialty clinic appointments for different clinics. 4)Schedule future appointments with patients. PREPARATION AND MAINTENANCE OF PATIENTS MEDICAL CHARTS 1)Creates and maintains patient medical charts. Ensures medical charts contain all appropriate medical data. Keeps charts up-to-date. 2)Prepares all charts for the following day's appointment. 3)Scan all medical records into patients EMR chart (mosiaq). 4)Obtains appropriate medical reports from other departments, physician offices, and or hospitals prior to patients' visit and/or on physician's request. RESPONSIBLE FOR BILLING AND COLLECTING FOR CLINIC SERVICES 1)Accurate and appropriate billing of clinic patients according to appropriate schedule. 2)Acts as a liaison for patients in relation to billing questions. 3)Investigates and resolves problems/questions of patients or insurance companies regarding billing and collection procedures in order to facilitate payment. Researches all questionable and unidentifiable payments with insurance companies. 4)Sends patients insurance information to verification department. TRANSCRIPTION DUTIES 1)To transcribe all reports, letters and other clinic correspondence for all of the specialty clinics within the office. 2)Prepares, sends and /or faxes reports to physician offices. PREFORMS OTHER CLERICAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1)Maintains inventories, orders and distributes all clerical and medical supplies for all clinics. Education/Experience Required: High School diploma or equivalent. 3+ years medical transcription experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Typing skills of 45wpm preferred. Some computer knowledge. 6 months of medical transcription N/A Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to be flexible. Ability to work independently. Ability to work in a stressful, fast paced enviroment. Ability to work and communicate well with physicians, patients and others. If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.
