About the Role
This role sits at the intersection of science, commercial growth, and global operational support.
The mission is to drive the adoption of Abbott CGM solutions in clinical trials by engaging investigators, supporting country teams, and enabling research sites across more than 30 countries.
This is a hybrid scientific-commercial office‑based role, ideal for a candidate who enjoys proactive outreach, scientific conversations with KOLs, structured commercial processes, and cross‑functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proactive Investigator Outreach & Commercial Growth (~50%)
- Proactively reach out to investigators, trial leads, and research institutions to promote, influence, and drive adoption of Abbott CGM solutions in ongoing and upcoming clinical trials.
- Present the clinical rationale, product value, and study advantages of using Abbott CGM system.
- Identify and qualify new trial opportunities, map decision makers, and build strong scientific-commercial relationships.
- Maintain a structured pipeline of opportunities, track progress, and collaborate with country teams on follow‑up and conversion.
- Act as a strategic partner to support business development objectives and growth targets within the clinical trial institutional segment.
2. Scientific & Clinical Leadership
- Serve as the central scientific expert for CGM across global clinical trial sites.
- Provide scientific product training and education to investigators, HCPs, CRAs, and research staff.
- Engage in scientific discussions to support protocol design, study requirements, and optimal product selection.
- Translate complex clinical/scientific needs into actionable product recommendations.
3. Commercial & Business Development Support
- Support country commercial teams by providing scientific and product expertise to enable local growth.
- Contribute to proposal development, pricing input, and budget preparation for institutional clients.
- Identify new growth opportunities through site feedback, scientific conversations, and market changes.
- Align with regional/global commercial strategy and support execution across multiple countries.
4. Operational, Administrative & Execution Excellence
- Coordinate product supply, orders, and timelines with internal teams to ensure flawless trial execution.
- Support contracting, forecasting, documentation, and internal compliance requirements.
- Maintain structured documentation of investigator interactions, trial needs, demand forecasting, and product flows.
- Ensure internal processes and operational standards are met across all supported countries.
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work seamlessly with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing and Customer Support.
- Act as the single point of contact for central queries from institutions/KOLs.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, or equivalent scientific field.
- Additional training in diabetes care, CGM, clinical research, is a strong advantage.
Experience
- Experience in diabetes, CGM, Medtech, or clinical research environments.
- Proven experience training HCPs, investigators, or site personnel.
- Ability to engage credibly with KOLs and conduct scientific discussions.
- Experience in sales support, business development, or customer‑facing interactions (not necessarily field sales).
- Prior experience with operational tasks (forecasting, contracting, documentation) preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across countries and functions.
