Normal business hours Monday - Friday 8-5; remote position; weekends/holidays as needed;

Pay Range

$25.30 - $57.30

Major Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate electronic health record (EHR) and clinical application training through synchronous and asynchronous methods including computer-based training, facilitated interactive virtual workshops, on-site training, virtual instructor led training and virtual reality/simulation-based scenarios. 
  • Conduct testing of lesson plans in the training environment for accuracy following upgrades and other significant changes.   
  • Conduct review of training documents for quality, relevancy and accuracy in the training environment annually and maintain current inventory of education materials. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve lesson plans, training strategies, curriculum, tactics and offer suggestions for enhancing engagement and support of the training program. 
  • Conduct 1:1 personalization session with clinicians to ensure effective and efficient use of the EHR, tailored to the specific needs of the user.   
  • Gather feedback on all training delivered. 
  • Facilitate follow-up and ongoing training, both in individual and group settings using content based on user data. 
  • Assist in the review of all education documents for accuracy and relevance (tip sheets, job aids, quick start guides, etc.) for all clinical end users.   
  • Keeps abreast with industry trends and best practices for training and development through continuous education, professional organizations and conferences. 

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Epic Credentialed Trainer Certification required within 6 months of hire 

Education Required:

  • Associate’s degree in business, Adult Education, Clinical or IT Related Field 

Experience Required:

  • Typically, 2 years experience in adult education, clinical informatics or healthcare required.  Previous Epic experience in IT or as an end user preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) 
  • Ability to present to large groups of people both virtually, in person and recorded as needed 
  • Effective critical thinking skills, decision making and problem solving
  • Proficient with all Microsoft office products and the ability to learn other applications proficiently
