The clinical data abstractor supports clinical performance through abstraction, review, and reporting of medical record clinical documentation, to support initiatives related to quality improvement, accreditation, and regulatory requirements. The successful abstractor engages clinicians in measures of care and provides education to ensure accurate clinical documentation and evidence-based care. This abstractor position will be assigned to the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT), Core Measures, Cath PC, and eCQM validations.
We seek colleagues with:
Minimum Education:Required: Associates Degree
Preferred: Bachelors Degree Specify Degree(s): Nursing or other health related discipline
Minimum Experience:
Required: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience
Preferred: 10+ years of previous job-related experience, PERT or other abstraction registry experience
Preferred: Certified Coding Specialist (AHIMA), CPHQ certification
Other: Utilization review and inpatient coding practices knowledge preferred.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $32.61 - $50.55 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
