We are seeking a full-time Clinic Radiology & Laboratory Technician to work closely with patients when performing radiologic imagining procedures and laboratory services.

Essential Job Functions:
The Radiology & Laboratory Technician must demonstrate acceptable radiographic skills, laboratory and phlebotomy skills, and the judgment and ability to work independently, along with being assigned senior/management responsibilities as they apply to equipment/supply maintenance and inventory, billing and meeting accreditation standards. Under the Director and Clinic Administrator, the Technician assists in patient care and obtains diagnostic images of the patient, performs waived and moderate complexity biological and chemical analyses on patient specimens and performs phlebotomy procedures. The position involves carefully giving the patient proper instruction, reassurance, and respect. The Technician taking direction from the medical provider regarding which area of the patient’s body requires imaging, explaining the procedure and answering questions regarding the procedure, positioning and adjusting patients and equipment, following best practices such as patient shielding, obtaining diagnostic images of the patient, and making any required documentation in the patient’s medical record. The Technician is also responsible for maintaining radiology supplies and/or inventory and keeping a safe and clean working environment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• High School diploma.
• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from a CAHEA approved program required.
• Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology.
• Must be AART/TMB certified, MT (ASCP), MLT (ASCP), PBT (ASCP) or equivalent.
• One year of experience as a Lab Technician/Radiology Technician is desired.
• Venipuncture experience is preferred.
• Experience in a clinic setting is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent communications skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in medical operations.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ability to shoot and process x-rays.
• Ability to draw and process labs.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients of all ages and types of disabilities, medical staff, and the public.
• Must meet and maintain quality control standards.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with patients and their families.
Physical Capabilities:
Work is of medium demand. Standing, walking most of the time on duty. Lifting and pushing patients, carts, and wheelchairs. Adequate hand/eye coordination and find motor skills required. Good tactile sensation is necessary for checking patients. Talking and hearing is essential in instructing the supervising nursing personnel and in receiving doctors’ orders and patient’s condition reports. Near visual acuity for accurate recording of patients’ charts.
Environmental Conditions:
Works in a well-lit, heated, and ventilated building. Hours may vary to accommodate needs in the department. Exposure of blood borne pathogens is of high risk. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids. All electrical safety precautions must be used when running the instrument.
