Distribution - FrancePurpose
The Client Manager will be responsible for the day to day relationship management, servicing and operational coordination of GAM’s clients and distributors serviced out of Luxembourg. The role supports GAM’s Luxembourg substance requirements and acts as a key local point of contact for client onboarding, ongoing servicing, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, the role provides client development support, working alongside the Managing Director - Head of France and broader distribution teams to help identify opportunities to deepen relationships, support asset retention and contribute to selective growth initiatives, while maintaining a strong focus on service quality, governance and regulatory standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Act as the primary Luxembourg based contact for assigned clients, distributors and counter-parties.
Manage day to day client servicing matters including queries, reporting requests and documentation.
Build and maintain trusted, long term relationships through professional, timely and accurate service delivery.
Proactively identify client needs, service gaps or emerging requirements and escalate appropriately to Client Directors or Sales colleagues.
Maintaining the CRM and relevant distribution lists.
Client Development & Commercial Support
Support Client Directors and Sales in developing and strengthening existing client relationships through high quality servicing and proactive engagement.
Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships (e.g. additional products, structures, mandates or services) and contribute to internal discussions on client development strategies.
Participate in selected client meetings alongside senior sales colleagues, supporting preparation, materials and follow up.
Assist with retention initiatives by ensuring a strong post investment client experience and effective issue resolution.
Contribute to the preparation of client presentations, reviews and renewal discussions, as appropriate.
Client On-boarding & Life-cycle Management
Coordinate client on-boarding activities including KYC, AML, due diligence documentation and account set up, in close collaboration with Compliance, Legal and Operations.
Manage ongoing client life-cycle activities such as account maintenance, client data updates and contractual changes.
Liaise with third party service providers (e.g. administrators, transfer agents) to ensure efficient processing and issue resolution.
Distribution & Stakeholder Support
Provide day to day support to Distribution, Sales and Client Directors covering Luxembourg domiciled structures.
Coordinate responses to DDQs, RFPs and ad hoc information requests from existing and prospective clients.
Support client meetings, including preparation of materials, coordination of logistics and follow up actions.
Governance, Controls & Regulatory Support
Ensure all client activities adhere to applicable Luxembourg regulatory requirements, CSSF expectations and GAM policies.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, documentation and approvals.
Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews and information requests as required.
Contribute to the maintenance of appropriate Luxembourg substance and governance arrangements.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Fund Oversight, Marketing and Finance to ensure a seamless client experience.
Act as a coordination point between Luxembourg and other GAM offices where clients, products or mandates are cross border.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in client servicing, relationship management or distribution support within asset management, funds or financial services.
Exposure to client development, relationship deepening or commercial support activities is desirable.
Good understanding of Luxembourg domiciled structures (UCITS and/or AIFs).
Experience working with service providers (fund administrators, TAs, custodians) is advantageous.
