Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an Custody expert who has strong business acumen on Trade & settlements, cash management, FX, Income, Corporate actions, Reconciliations and reporting. He/She possess good understanding of Sicav & ETF funds.
He/she should perform both client facing and operational functions for Custody. Research and resolve client/IM inquires , perform reconciliation and service related requests. Escalating and directing issues for immediate remediation. Act as an SME within the team and should be able to train the new staff.
On a daily and weekly basis execute many operational tasks as per deadlines.
AVPs interact with all levels of professionals both internally and externally. Therefore, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required. Candidates must demonstrate initiative, be able to perform well under pressure and simultaneously handle multiple assignments. AVPs are responsible to direct the day-to-day Custody Management Services operations for several clients acoss EMEA region.

This is a management position is within the Custody Management Services, who will be responsible for entire Client & reporting services that we offer to our Clients/Investment Managers.
What you will be responsible for:
Managing the Entire Operations
- AVPs are expected to handle new client / activity transition actively (hiring of staffs, designing training model, monitoring training progress, flagging issues with training, signing off go live)
- Delegate tasks and manage employee development
- Coordinate with auditors internal and external to meet deadlines and requirements
- Ensure all internal controls and compliance procedures are properly implemented
- Identify scope for process improvements on an ongoing basis
- Responsible for ensuring and reviewing all the Custody requirements such as Daily/weekly recon on Cash, Stock and Income.
- Answer and/or review internal and external client queries in relation to Fund accounting and custody related activities (i.e Trade and Settlement, Cash operations, Income, Reconciliations, NAV queries etc). Analyze the problem and obtain and evaluate information to reach sound conclusions. Ensure complex issues are escalated as needed and review aged inquiries to ensure proper and timely resolution.
- Provide timely accurate management reporting and issue log maintenance, under moderate supervision
- Coordinate effective and timely flow of critical information to all relevant parties and follows up on administrative details within the department
- Identify and execute transformation and automation initiatives with a focus on process simplification and improvement
- Ensure SOPs / process flows / training manuals are updated on regular basis
- Train, develop and motivate staff; including participating in individual ongoing training and development
- Performance managemebnt, Team amangement and leadership.
People Management
- Demonstrate positive leadership and people management skills and the ability to work well with others, individually and within a group
- Coordinate performance planning process including goal setting, regular and immediate feedback and submission of formalized performance appraisals on designated staff
- Actively monitoring staffs under special performance monitoring

- Understanding of client SLAs and metrics
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 12-16 years of relevant work experience
- Competent to Expert (Technical) / Advanced Beginner with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and a focus in Finance or related field preferred
- Good understanding and exposure to Capital markets.
- Reconciliation in Accounting and Custody /Trade & settlements background. Graduate and above preferably in Finance
Additional requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (in English)
- Computer literate & MS Office expert
- Knowledge of SICAV & US funds and associated accounting
- Advanced knowledge of cycle and settlement specificities for securities and cash
- Flexibility in re-prioritizing tasks
- Good understanding of Financial products
