Details of the Division and Team:

Clearing and Settlement is responsible for managing the end-to-end clearing and settlement process. This is to ensure smooth and timely market settlement of securities and cash transfers between the bank and its counterparty. Work includes:

  • Supporting interaction between internal and external stakeholders involved in the clearing and settlement process chain Allocating assets to optimize the portfolio strategically

  • Ensuring adherence to market standards

  • Clearing and settling through both primary and secondary markets and direct payments

Your key responsibilities:

  • Manage clients’ documents such as client’s instructions and other supporting documents

  • Make payments from sales proceeds to clients

  • Check pending, failed trade and follow up with clients, etc

  • Handle special inquiries or requests from clients

  • Remind and follow-up if no instruction is received from clients by the deadline

  • Match the settlement instructions with relevant systems

  • Run settlement in internal application

  • Review the balances for all accounts after daily movement

  • Conduct regulatory reporting

  • Problem solving when there is any issue

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in banking industry covering Loan Operations.

  • Background and work experience in Operations is desirable.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details are required

  • A self –motivated, energetic, and able to work independently

  • Confident, and enjoy working in a performance driven culture

  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace

  • Excels at operating in fast pace, community environment

  • A strong team player, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done

  • Proficiency in MS office applications
