Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate the haul trucks in a safe and efficient manner on a busy construction site
  • Transport heavy equipment and machinery using lowbed / step‑deck trailers
  • Load, secure and chain equipment in compliance with regulations and site requirements
  • Safely maneuver in tight spaces and uneven terrain with spotters and ground crews 
  • Follow site protocols, and directions from supervisors
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, permits, and load documentation
  • Communicate effectively with site personnel to coordinate equipment moves
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to changing site and road environments
  • Recognize existing and potential hazards and know how to identify these through conducting a field level pre-job hazard analysis, checking the truck for hazards and assessing any tasks before starting
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner be willing to comply with Ledcor’s safety commitments

Requirements

  • Previous 3+ years’ experience on a major industrial construction project
  • Strong work ethic, good communication and ability to follow instructions
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license and provide a clean 3-year drivers record
  • Completion of project pre-access training requirements

Work Conditions

  • 14 days on, 7 days off, working 10 hour days
  • Overtime rates, RSP contributions and weekly wage payments
  • Extended Health & Wellness benefits provided by CLAC
  • Camp accommodation provided
  • Travel allowance available for eligible employees
  • Weekly wage payments
