Civil Superintendent, Drainage

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Drainage Superintendent to join our Infrastructure team on a high-profile project in Edmonton. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate piping and drainage activities, ensuring efficient execution and alignment with project specifications. You’ll play a key role in managing crews, subcontractors, and site operations to keep the project moving smoothly.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the Project’s health, safety, quality and environmental standards across all site activities
  • Lead planning and execution of municipal drainage and piping systems, including new installations, notifications to existing, and removals or abandonments. Supervise and coordinator internal crews and subcontractors to deliver high quality drainage works
  • Responsible for signing T&M timesheets for additional works outside of contract works
  • Coordinate and plan work with other discipline supervisors to complete work efficiently and safely
  • Monitor progress,  measure and track quantities to support accurate reporting and scheduling
  • Collaborate with project engineers, other construction disciplines and support teams to align drainage work with overall construction sequencing
  • Oversee mobilization and demobilization of drainage-related resources and equipment

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in civil or infrastructure construction, with a strong focus on drainage and earthworks
  • Solid understanding of site logistics, piping and drainage works
  • Experienced in construction sequencing and planning on multi discipline projects
  • Proven ability to lead field crews and manage subcontractor performance
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Proficiency in digital construction tools (MS Office, Procore, Viewpoint)
  • Valid driver’s license and safety certifications (CSTS, First Aid, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance)
