China External Distribution Leader

Summary:

This position is responsible for planning and logistics to provide the total solutions to UFPLA(not limited to UFPLA, including other buy and export) products. This position will lead Great China productivities to optimize the logistics spending on service and distribution, lead and manage system projects/updates to maintain data integrity and operational efficiency, owner to Customs/customers’ audit for all the China plants of logistics perspective.

Responsibilities Include:

Planning & logistics:

  • Responsible for all the planning and logistics activities for buy and export materials(not limited to UFPLA). Manage day-to-day operations of the planning and logistics functions.
  • Ensure compliance with company and safety standards as well as local customs regulations and requirements.
  • Act as an expertise in planning, import/export process, warehousing, transportation management and shipping procedures for both domestic and overseas shipments with broad SCM knowledge.
  • Follow policies and procedures for logistics function. Establish the end-to-end SOPs for ordering, export planning and logistical execution and implementation.
  • Develop and manage daily/weekly supply and dispatch schedules for UFPLA and buy-export materials through MS01 to meet global internal/external customer demand and inventory targets.
  • Coordinate with global procurement leader and external vendors to ensure the availability of raw material required for processing.
  • Response with the purchase orders placing to vendor linked to STO or orders on time.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound logistics, including carrier coordination, route planning, and documentation for shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with company and safety standards as well as local regulations and requirements.
  • Implement logistics strategies and policies to improve operational efficiency and achieve business operational targets.
  • Driving on vendor KPI measurement and performance improvement.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the supply chain to ensure timely delivery.

Productivity Optimization:

  • Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities, best practices and other opportunities to reduce overall costs for all GC logistics part.
  • Implement KPIs to track logistics performance and resource/assets utilization for all GC logistics part.
  • Conduct regular productivity audits and report findings to management with actionable improvement plans for all GC logistics part.

System projects/update and Data management:

  • Maintain and update relevant modules within the SAP/WMS/TMS system(M-ERP, etc) to reflect the physical logistics
  • Lead system upgrades, UAT, and the implementation of new software features related to logistics and planning.
  • Generate and analyze system reports to support decision-making.

Support Customs/customers’ audit of China plants

  • Play as an owner of SOP/procedure management of China plants and warehouses.
  • Lead the Customs/Customer’s audit for all the China plants as logistics representative.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Above 7 years’ working experience in SCM functions, preferred on planning or logistics management and export transportation practice
  • SAP knowledge/experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Open minds and have the will to cooperate with different functions
  • Strong data analysis skill and decision maker
  • Project management skills
  •  Good communication in English
  • Chemical background preferred
