Salary$139,443.00 - $223,101.00The Chief of Staff (CoS) serves as a strategic partner to Overlake’s President/CEO and the executive leadership team, to ensure organizational priorities are clear, that key initiatives are highly coordinated and keep forward momentum, to ensure timely achievement of key milestones and achievement of desired levels of performance.
The CoS facilitates alignment and execution among executive team members on organizational priorities, issues, goals, and initiatives. The CoS also leads and assists with efforts to:
1) Turn ideas into discrete action steps and/or project charters;
2) Facilitate discussions to identify, frame, and resolve complex or ambiguous issues;
3) Identify and help to resolve barriers to organizational progress (swiftly, and at the appropriate level of decision-making);
4) Complete specific action items and develops deliverables on behalf of the President/CEO and other leaders to ensure timely execution and momentum;
5) Consolidate information to help formulate recommendations;
6) Provide consultative support to leaders related to advancing President and CEO’s strategic agenda.
The CoS serves as primary liaison between the project management office and the executive team, to ensure alignment of executive priorities with resourcing and timelines. The CoS also assists with preparation of selected executive-level materials and ensures that the right information at the right level of detail is available to support executive decision-making.
In addition, a key role is to help establish and maintain a coordinated system and rhythm of business operations, and identify/implement opportunities to streamline / modernize / coordinate leadership workflows. The CoS will represent the CEO and other senior executives in key discussions, lead selected confidential or sensitive initiatives, and manage/lead specific projects as approved by the CEO.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or analytics, with eight years preferred. Healthcare industry experience also preferred.
Personal attributes: The successful candidate for the CoS role will be a confident, intrinsically motivated, politically adept, well organized, curious, and entrepreneurial team member who is comfortable with ambiguity, possesses a diverse skill set, and has knowledge of the healthcare industry.
Special Training/Skills: Skilled in leading strategic or complex projects. Experience in developing and delivering executive level communications. Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizations and influence without authority. Exceptional communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to simplify complexity for executive audiences. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
