The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Mission Feeding Data Support Branch under the Mission Feeding Division within the HQ Air Force Services Center Mission Support directorate located in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas.

Major Duties:

  • The individual plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the HQ AFSVC Mission Feeding Data Support Branch, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while meeting customer needs. Exercises supervisory responsibilities in personnel management, providing advice and guidance to employees regarding policies, procedures, and management directives. The individual represents the HQ AFSVC Mission Feeding Data Support Branch across various installation and functional area organizations. The individual provides management oversight for the HQ AFSVC Mission Feeding Data Support Branch, advising the Air Staff, MAJCOM, base, and internal units on operational issues.

Qualifications: In order to qualify, you must meet the individual occupational requirements experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS/11-12 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must includes leading or supporting program operations, analyzing data to inform decisions, developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing resources and budgets, coordinating with stake holders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supervising or guiding personnel in performance and workload management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Extensive experience with multi-unit food and beverage enterprise management database systems at the installation, MAJCOM, Headquarters, or a comparable industry level is required. Broad knowledge of food, beverage, and technology systems/programs, including database configuration management, administrative practices, and support requirements. In-depth training and experience in all phases of database management, as well as financial management, procurement, and other administrative tasks in the restaurant industry or comparable sectors. Proven ability to lead, motivate, train, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Strong analytical skills to assess and adjust workflows in order to meet program requirements and objectives while working within available resources in a multi-unit enterprise organization. Solid understanding of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of an enterprise-sized organization. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to analyze complex problems; comprehend, interrelate, and evaluate facts; distinguish between cause and effect; develop solutions in a systematic manner; set appropriate goals for the HQ AF program; and help facilitate client goal setting. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
