About the Role:
- We are seeking an experienced NetApp Professional Services Field Engineer to deliver advanced storage solutions tailored to meet our clients' data management and infrastructure needs. This role involves deploying and supporting NetApp environments across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud platforms, with a strong focus on quality implementation, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- • Install and configure NetApp FAS, AFF, ASA, and E/EF-series systems (switch-based or switchless setups)
• Lead planning, design, implementation, and closure
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
• Conduct technical knowledge-sharing and mentoring sessions
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in deploying NetApp infrastructure solutions across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments
- Hands-on expertise with MetroCluster IP and FC configurations
- Proficient in controller upgrades (headswaps) and switch-to-switchless conversions (Cisco, Broadcom, NVIDIA)
- Deep understanding of storage protocols: NFS, SMB, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, NVMe/FC, NVMe/TCP, S3
- Experience using NetApp data protection tools: Snapshot, SnapVault, SnapMirror, SnapLock
- Familiarity with BlueXP and other NetApp management platforms
- Strong communication, documentation, and cu
- Customer-facing skills
Desirable Skills:
- Hands-on experience with StorageGRID deployment and integration
- Knowledge of virtualization and network virtualization technologies
- Experience with cloud storage solutions: Cloud Volumes ONTAP, FSx for ONTAP, Azure NetApp Files, Google Cloud
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience with NetApp technologies and enterprise storage deployments
- Willingness to travel extensively for client engagements
Certifications Required:
- NetApp Certified Storage Installation Engineer, ONTAP (NCSIE)
Desired Certifications:
- NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer MetroCluster Specialist NSO-014
- NetApp Accredited StorageGRID Implementation Engineer NS0-075
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+
