Job Summary: You will serve as a CHEMICAL ENGINEER in the Support Equipment Department, Common & Commercial Systems Diviision of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Professional ability to apply engineering knowledge and is defined as the ability to (a) apply fundamental and diversified professional engineering concepts, theories, and practices to achieve engineering objectives with versatility, judgment, and perception; (b) adapt and apply cryogenica engineer methods or chemical engineering techniques of related scientific disciplines; and (c) execute systems engineering tasking to include requirements development, statement of work generation, and leading the team through the System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Planning, designing, and carrying out programs, projects, and studies in order to develop and support chemical or cryogenics support equipment; Review and evaluate REIs/EIs/Fleet Requests to determine root cause/issue and identify design solutions. Update drawings and documentation as needed.2) Conducting extensive investigations and analysis of undefined factors and conditions to determine the nature of the problems to devise a solution; 3) Participate in the development and design of new and/or upgraded cryogenic liquid/gaseous oxygen/nitrogen systems by assessing if available or imminent technology is sufficient to meet requirements or system concepts are applicable to fleet operational requirements 4) Communicating effectively to convince or settle matters involving controversial issues and coordinate and lead system engineering events; 5) Mentoring engineers on design, development and sustainment in order to lead projects.
