Project Manager - Project Management

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Managing projects according to the GEA Project Management Guidelines as defined in the PPP 
  • Overall responsible for the financial performance and result of the projects, ensuring the best outcome for GEA by creating and maintaining the detailed Project budget and invoicing plan
  • Responsible for ensuring a strong culture of ownership across the different project teams in meeting the main project objectives
  • Planning and maintaining main project schedule by monitoring belonging projects progresses including overall resource plan, work breakdown structures, activity lists, main interfaces between projects and margin goals.
  • Responsible for completion of phase gate reviews and reporting of the development in main project to multiple stakeholders e.g., Steering committee, customer.
  • Responsible for completion of projects according to scope, cost, quality, and schedule – deliver project within budget
  • Deliver best in class customer management and achieve best in class customer satisfaction across projects
  • Provides a main point of contact for the customer and other stakeholders; to coordinate. Review, organize and communicate with. This includes written and verbal communication, meetings, submittals, training etc
  • Ensure that all site installation and commissioning is managed by site engineers within assigned and budgeted man-days. Attend site installation and commissioning kick off meeting with clients to facilitate the commissioning of GEA equipment and site closure meetings. Making sure site installation reports communicated to clients on weekly basis and update to internal team stakeholders.
  • Responsible for maintaining & drive closure of project open points/punch points and communicating to internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Deliver best in class claim management and change order management over complete project lifecycles
  • Perform Risk management to mitigate and minimize main project risks throughout project lifecycle & update to management
  • Responsible for maintaining project cost sheets for monthly project sales & margin reporting to Finance
  • Coordinates preparation of project P&IDs, Zoning Diagrams, Plant layout, technical specifications
  • Coordinates review, approval and submittal of project documents [Design qualification, Installation and operational qualification, project documentation etc.] to customer
  • Capture and evaluate Lessons learned of a project and communicate effectively to the relevant stakeholders
  • Updates and maintains the Project database [project documentation] for assigned projects
  • Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders [Production/Supply chain/Procurement] to deliver project according to schedule and required quality.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering – Chemical / Mechanical preferred
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience working in project management role
  • PMO activities experience will be preferred
  • Best in class project management methodologies and solid skills in commercial project management
  • Must possess good knowledge and working on MS office [Excel/PowerPoint] & MS Project tools
  • Preference for candidates with good knowledge and experience on Power BI tools
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working on SAP project modules
  • Experience in negotiation and dispute resolution
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Must possess good English language communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently as required
  • Must be self-motivated and ability to work independently

Must be willing to travel domestic & International [Approximately 20-25% of the time]
