Job Description

  

Education:
Degree in Physics, Telecommunications Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.

Previous Experience:

  • Testing, characterization, and validation of CMOS image pixels and sensors.
  • Development of scripts, programs, and GUIs using Matlab interface for hardware control and signal/image acquisition and processing. Knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Extensive experience working with electronic laboratory instrumentation.

Additional Skills/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of optics and semiconductor physics (CMOS).
  • Ability to write technical documents (measurement reports).

Languages:
High level of English (B2 or above), both spoken and written.

Responsibilities:

  • Characterization, testing, and validation of CMOS image sensors, evaluation kits, and systems in areas such as automotive, 3D, high-speed, low-noise, and machine vision.
  • Validation and optimization of CMOS image sensors. Analyze sensor performance to determine optimal pixel-level operating points. Verify proper functioning of sensor blocks according to specifications.
  • Develop and validate different operating modes to meet customer requirements. Define characterization plans in collaboration with the Design Lead and Project Coordinator.
  • Develop software libraries for test system and image sensor control (Matlab). Integrate, validate, and debug test systems. Create GUIs for test automation and APIs for customers.
  • Operate electronic and optical instrumentation (optical benches, oscilloscopes, temperature control systems, monochromators, motorized rails, etc.). Develop software libraries for automation and control.
  • Validate state-of-the-art CMOS semiconductor technologies. Develop methodologies and procedures for optimization.
  • Provide customer support: guidance on sensor control and handling, and proper integration into customer applications.
  • Define specifications for test systems and optical benches required for CMOS image sensor testing.
  • Research and analyze relevant patents and assess their scope.
