Job Description:

We are looking for a Channel Services Sales Representative who manages Operational Services offering, positioning, and pricing across the services life cycle, guiding the direct and indirect sales teams on services-related dimensions. Responsible for planning the business objectives for a specific portfolio and achieving these objectives through ongoing adjustments of services-related decisions. Acts as a subject matter expert on Services Installed Base knowledge including positioning, pricing, marketing, and customer requirements. Communicates, briefs, and supports distribution and partners on services strategies. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

The Channel Installed Base Sales Representative is a primary sales position covering HPE’s channel distributors and their associated partners. In this role, the individual works closely with channel partners and internal teams to drive services contract renewals, identify upsell opportunities within the installed base, and build a proactive pipeline aligned with growth strategies. This position plays a key role in supporting end-user customers through distributor and partner relationships while ensuring strong collaboration with internal sales teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with distributors and/or partners to support end-user clients on services contract renewal business
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline aligned with growth strategies, executing upsell initiatives within the installed base
  • Develop proactive renewal plans and manage opportunities through to closure
  • Communicate the benefits of HPE services and solutions during the selling process
  • Apply services and solution knowledge to assess client environments and identify opportunities to extend current business within accounts
  • Manage escalations across the distributor and partner account base
  • Collaborate with internal teams and channel partners to deliver business results and support sales strategies
  • Enter and manage opportunities within Salesforce CRM
  • Participate in business planning activities with leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (technical, business, marketing, or finance discipline preferred)
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a related field
  • 3+ years of quota-carrying or telesales experience with demonstrated success
  • Experience within the technology services, IT support contracts, or contract management industry preferred
  • Understanding of sales processes within the IT industry
  • The role is a remote position and can be based anywhere within the United States, with minimal travel required as most partner and distributor engagement is conducted virtually.

  • Knowledge of HPE services and solutions (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end channel organizational structure
  • Awareness of the competitive technology marketplace
  • Naturally proactive with a clear sense of ownership and urgency
  • Highly developed negotiation skills
  • Strong customer and partner-facing experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills with extended sales team members and partners
  • Prior experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to position value-added products, services, and solutions to expand customer engagements

"The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
– United States of America: Annual Salary USD 89,400 - 172,900 in California & New York // 74,800 - 172,900 in Florida & Georgia & Illinois & Texas
This range reflects the minimum to maximum combined base and target-level sales compensation that would be paid if the hire performs at 100% of their sales plan. Of that on-target pay amount, the mix of base salary and target-level sales compensation is 80%/20%."
