Channel Sales Engineer

Rubrik is looking for a Channel Sales Engineer to provide technical direction and business guidance to our regional channel team and partner ecosystem. As a Channel Sales Engineer, you will be accountable for regional revenue goals by driving innovative technical programs and overseeing day-to-day partner-level activities. You will be responsible for evangelizing, positioning, and architecting Rubrik’s Data Resilience, Observability, and Remediation tools to a targeted list of new & existing channel partners and their customers throughout Germany.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide technical leadership and direction to channel partners, their customers, and internal staff in the development of fully integrated technology solutions in support of pre-sales activities in the assigned market.

  • Assist in the analysis, design, and development of fully integrated technology solutions for and through Rubrik’s partner ecosystem.

  • Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on Rubrik’s products, distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the SAN product space.

  • Act as a technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of assigned partners and their customer engagements.

  • Make technical and sales presentations to partner technical staff, their customer teams, and senior management.

  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to channel partners and as an internal resource on technical issues or specific business applications within an assigned market segment.

  • Successfully build relationships with the channel account team, partners, and customers in support of sales team objectives, and engage and leverage corporate resources, abilities, budgets, and personnel as appropriate.

  • Lead technical sales calls in support of partner-led opportunities.

  • Qualify sales opportunities in terms of customer and partner technical requirements, competition, decision-making process, and funding.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Idealyl a minimum of 5+ years of sales engineering experience, preferably in a software or data center environment; channel experience a strong plus.

  • Driven – need for success, highly energetic with a strong hands-on, “can do” approach.

  • Fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics.

  • Entrepreneurial – willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, “get it done” attitude.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment; able to handle multiple partner calls/demos per day with immediate follow-up.

  • High level of business acumen and experience working with CxO-level personnel, bringing technology solutions to solve business challenges.

  • Smart, adaptable and open-minded.
