Department Overview

The Change and Problem Management team offers and supports the process framework for the organization. We deliver technology and process systems that enhance safety, consistency, and operational excellence across the enterprise.

Role Overview

As a member of the Change Management team, you will play a key role in ensuring policy and procedure. This position involves close collaboration with Global Engineering and senior business stakeholders. The primary responsibility of the role will be creating and executing change management strategies to enable safe and successful implementations.

In the role of Change Management Analyst, you will work on a small team that owns the end‑to‑end change control process for Global Engineering. The team ensures that all change requests are evaluated, approved, and implemented with minimal risk and disruption. This is an operational role that balances rigorous assessment of technical changes with clear communication to both technical teams and business stakeholders. You have an interest in learning about the technologies and tools used by the company, in order to play a more complete role in successful changes. Change Manager Analysts provide direct support and coaching to managers and their engineers as they participate in preparing changes. The analyst will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans. The ideal candidate is comfortable presenting complex change proposals to large virtual audiences, translating technical risk into business impact, and driving consistent, repeatable processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Change Evaluation & Governance

  • Review incoming technology change requests for completeness, business justification, risk, impact, and inter‑dependencies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, define mitigation strategies, and determine appropriate change categories (Emergency, Normal, Standard).

Change Planning & Scheduling

  • Coordinate change windows with service owners, infrastructure teams, and business units.
  • Maintain a centralized change calendar and communicate scheduled changes well in advance.
  • Track post‑implementation outcomes and close out change records.

Stakeholder Communication & Presentation

  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise change briefs for Global Engineering and non‑technical business partners.
  • Facilitate virtual Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, capturing decisions and action items.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalations related to change scope, timing, or impact.

Collaboration & Advisory

  • Contribute to change analysis, including metrics and trends, and Change Management documentation.
  • Partner with project managers, technology members, security, and operations teams to ensure alignment of change activities with broader project timelines and security controls.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in IT change management, release management, or a comparable operational role within a technology‑focused organization
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships across teams
