CET - Engineering Shop Technician (FWS/NFWS)
This is for Spring Semester of 2026
This is for up to 20 hours a week.
Purpose within the Organization: The purpose of this position is to assist the College of Engineering, and Technology with administrative duties related to maintenance of the labs.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
• Assisting Shop Manger in the Engineering shops.
• Assisting with up-keep and supply monitoring.
• Responsible following all safety guidelines and instructions.
• Monitor the Engineering Shops and Capstone area assuring that students follow all safety guidelines and instructions.
• Learn and teach how to use equipment in the shops.
• Maintain an inventory of Shop equipment.
• Completing tasks as assigned by the lab coordinator.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Ability to set and follow a schedule.
• Must be able to Nights and Saturdays when needed.
• Must be able to comply with safety protocols (training will be provided).
• Knowledge of Solidworks preferred
Experience/Education:

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
