The Centralized ICD Team (ROW) Team Leader is responsible to contribute to the strategic planning and delivery of the Centralized ICD Team. The position reports to Global Country Operations Enablement Lead and partners with Business Process Owners and cross functional stakeholders with the mission to support the growth and lead a core team of expert ICD authors to consistently deliver high quality ICD in support of the clinical study portfolio, in accordance with the appropriate quality standards

including ICH/GCP standards, SOPs, local operating guidelines and local regulatory requirements, as applicable.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible to drive co-ordination of ICD authoring by the centralized team in one or more regions.

  • Responsible to develop a resource plan to support fluctuating work volumes and assign resources based on portfolio priorities.

  • Partners with line managers and group leads to identify and assign resources to the centralized team.

  • Responsible for developing and refining work instruction and/or playbook, provide training in the systems and process.

  • Responsible for setting and monitoring quality and performance standards and holding the central ICD team accountable.

  • Develops a communication plan, reports and presents to multiple stakeholders.

  • Exercise judgment using knowledge and experience, to respond to feedback and actively seeks out opportunities to continuously develop process and standards.

  • Personifies Pfizer values and behaviours to motivate, inspire and energize the centralized ICD team.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Relevant operational clinical trial experience

  • A scientific or technical degree is preferred along with knowledge of clinical trial methodology

  • BA/BS 5+ years of relevant experience

  • MBA/MS 3+ years of relevant experience

  • BS/BSc/MS/MSc

  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, clinical and regulatory operations and environment

  • ICD development experience

  • Demonstrated clinical research experience and study management experience

  • Demonstrated experience in managing country level operational activities and/or vendors

  • Experience in Study and Quality management and working in a matrix management environment

  • Expertise in the use of study/site dashboard and reporting tools

  • Detail oriented & possesses technical expertise

  • Ability to manage moderately complex processes

  • Ability to operate in a matrix environment

  • Risk Identification & Mitigation

  • Strategic Planning, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Critical Path Analysis

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and processes

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in relating to colleagues and associates both inside and outside

    of the organization

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such 
    as Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance
