About the Role

Mizuho Americas is seeking an Associate to support its Compliance Training Program, including FINRA Firm Element and other U.S. regulatory training requirements. This role plays a key part in the design, delivery, administration, and regulatory readiness of firmwide compliance training, with a strong focus on training technology, data and reporting, and continuous program improvement.

The Associate will report to the Training Program Manager within Central Compliance and work closely with Compliance leadership, business stakeholders, and external partners, and will be part of a highly visible program that supports a strong culture of compliance across the firm.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Training Program Operations & Delivery

  • Support day‑to‑day operations of the Compliance Training Program, including training scheduling, assignment, tracking, reporting, and escalation.

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of a comprehensive training program that informs employees of regulatory and policy requirements and promotes a strong culture of compliance.

  • Support New Hire Training and firmwide compliance training initiatives.

Training Technology & Systems

  • Provide hands‑on support for training technology platforms, including the Learning Management System (Workday Learning) and training authoring tools (e.g., Captivate).

  • Assist with LMS design, configuration, maintenance, and enhancements, including improving the delivery, usability, and look and feel of training content and templates.

  • Support training‑related technology initiatives, including exploration and implementation of artificial intelligence‑assisted solutions.

Data, Reporting & Regulatory Readiness

  • Prepare and maintain training data, metrics, and reports, including Excel‑based tracking and analysis.

  • Support the Annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) process by coordinating with business areas to identify training needs and develop the annual training plan.

  • Assist with internal and external examinations of the training program and participate in regulatory discussions as needed.

Governance, Policies & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support drafting, maintenance, and governance of Compliance Training policies and procedures, including Quarterly Training requirements.

  • Assist with Compliance Lunch and Learn programs, including coordination with internal and external speakers.

  • Monitor the training program inbox and respond to inquiries from across the firm in a timely manner.

  • Support monthly Compliance Subcommittee reporting and participate in committee meetings.

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders, including Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Legal, Head Office, and external vendors or counsel, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience supporting a training program within Compliance, Human Resources, or a firmwide training function.

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and training authoring tools (Workday Learning and Captivate preferred).

  • Strong Excel skills, including comfort with Pivot Tables and lookup functions.

  • Experience supporting projects or implementations within mid‑ to large‑size financial institutions.

  • Familiarity with training technologies and emerging tools, including AI‑assisted platforms.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with senior management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other MS Office applications.

The expected base salary ranges from $98,000.00 - $110,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
